Mt. Bachelor's Gravity School switches gears in the summer to offer lessons and clinics for downhill bikers. Whether you are a first-time downhill rider looking to learn the fundamentals of downhill mountain biking or a seasoned rider looking to progress to the next level, our lessons and clinics are the perfect fit for you. The Clinic is offered for two hours daily. Monday through Friday starting at 11:30 a.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Our Intro to Ride Clinic full package comes with a Sport rental bike, full face helmet, elbow and knee pads, plus a ticket to the Sunshine Lift. Don't need the full package? Simply sign up for the clinic only option which includes a Sunshine Lift ticket + two hour clinic.

Lava Lands Visitor Center is the interpretive hub of Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Friendly rangers will help orient you to the Monument using our 3D topographic map. Visit our state of the art interpretive exhibit on area geologic and cultural history, shop in the Discover Your Forest Bookstore, view a variety of films scheduled daily, walk the Trail of Molten Land and the Trail of the Whispering Pines, travel on the fully accessible  5.5 mile Sun-Lava paved path, picnic under the pines, attend a ranger talk, walk to the top of Lava Butte for a spectacular view of Central Oregon.

Attracting more than 750,000 vacationers, residents and guests through its doors since its opening in 2012, SHARC visitors report being rejuvenated by the brilliant range of activities and amenities that the $18 million facility offers to all ages and interests. Access to SHARC is free to Sunriver property owners with a current homeowner ID, and those with SROA recreation passes and guests of rental properties enrolled in SROA’s Recreation Plus program. The general public is welcome via a daily gate fee.
