    The Sunriver Nature Center invites kids ages 7 through 11 to join them for their three day Nature Journaling Course during this year's spring break. The event will take place at the Nature Center on Monday, March 27, Wednesday March 29 and Friday March 31 with classes running from 9 am to 10:30 am. Students will participate in specimen collection, environmental observations through fun nature hikes, while learning how to draw and write about plants and animals.For more information call 514-593-4394.

    The SROA's Annual Job Fair will take place at SHARC on Wednesday, March 29 from 9 to 11 am. The job fair will give job seekers an opportunity to meet hiring managers from local area businesses. Participants should come prepared to fill out applications, bring resumes, references and be prepared for an interview on-site for most positions.

    Wednesday, March 29 is Teen Night at the SHARC. From 8 pm to 10 pm theSHARC is reserved for teens ages, 12 to 18, to enjoy an evening of fun, including an ice cream social, water-themed games and contests, access to hot tub and much more. The cost is $7 for SROA and $10 for the general public. RSVP's are required by calling 514-585-3147.

    The Sunriver Community Stars Community Theater (SSCT) is excited to announce the opening of its 18th production, "Nana's Naughty Knickers" by Katherine DiSavino to take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 24 to 26 and repeats the next weekend March 30 to April 1. Showtimes are 7:00 pm, except for Sunday March 26 which is a 3 pm matinee. Performances will be held for the first time at The Door located in the Sunriver Business Park directly across the street from Three Rivers School. Tickets can be purchased at the door, in advance by going online to: www.sunriverstars.org or from any of the members of the cast and crew.

    Join Professional artist Bonnie Junell at the Sunriver Artist Gallery on Thursday April 6 for a "Sip and Paint". Come to the Gallery from 6 to 8 pm where art and wine combine for a unique and memorable evening Painting Pleasure. Bonnie will lead you in demonstrations and help guide you through your painting. No experience is needed and all supplies are included. The cost is $45 per person and includes complementary wine and chocolates.     The La Pine Chamber of Commerce's annual award banquet is scheduled for Saturday, April 8 from 5 to 8 pm. The event will take place at the La Pine Community Center and this years theme is the Psychedelic Sixties. Tickets are $40 per person. Table decorators and sponsorship are still available and auction and/or raffle items would be greatly appreciated.     The next Surniver Area Community Potluck will take place at SHARC on Wednesday, April 12 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Sunriver's own Klassixs Ayre Band. Corporate sponsor for the evening will be Bend Broad Band.  Take home centerpieces will be furnished by Flowers at Sunriver and freshly ground and brewed decaf coffee is generously provided by Brewed Awakenings. Participants should bring an entrée or salad to serve 10-12 people, plus their own place settings. Desserts are provided by the volunteers of the Potluck Committee. The cost to attend is $5.00 per person and $15.00 per family (up to a maximum of 6 people).  To attend, sign up at the SROA office, SHARC, the North Store Marketplace, call 541-593-8149 or simply email to areapotluck@gmail.com.  Be sure to include your decision to bring a salad or entrée.
