The Sunriver Men's Club resumes their monthly meeting at the Crosswater Grillon Thursday, Sept 21, beginning at noon. Guest speaker will be Gena Goodman-Campbell, Public Lands Coordinator for the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA). The cost to attend is $20 and all men and women in the Sunriver area are invited. Lunch choices are crab cakes with wild rice, chicken Caesar salad or basil pesto pasta salad. The Upper Deschutes River Coalition (UDRC) will be holding their monthly meeting at the Sunriver Library on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Guest speaker will be PJ Johnson of the American Red Cross who will discuss how to make a disaster plan and what supplies you will need. The UDRC represents the South Deschutes County Neighborhoods and all residents are welcome to this free event.
On Thursday, Sept. 21, the Sunriver Anglers Club invites everyone to their monthly meeting to be held at SHARC beginning at 7:00 pm. This month's speaker will be Brain Chou, an enthusiastic angler from the Portland area. His presentation is titled, "How to apply and utilize the two handed Spey casting approach infishing". The event is free and members and non-members are welcome.
The Second Annual Sunriver/La Pine Economic Development Luncheon will take place at the Sunriver Resort on Friday, Sept 22, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The luncheon will provide an opportunity to celebrate Economic Developmentsuccess in Sunriver/La Pine and to take a look at the future.
