Sunriver boasts a full slate of culturally enriching art, festivals and events. From Central Oregon works of art at local galleries to the Sunriver Art Faire, the Sunriver Quilt Show and Sunriver Music Festival, culturally enriching opportunities are available year round.
Take the time to learn more about the history and ecology of the local area with visits to the Sunriver Nature Center, the Oregon Observatory at Sunriver and the High Desert Museum. The Artists’ Gallery, found in The Village at Sunriver, is a co- operative of 28 local artists who bring their own unique flavor and personality to the gallery. The artist’s works vary from oil paintings in the style of the old masters, contemporary art and precision laser metal art to creative gourds and wearable art jewelry.
You won’t want to miss the Sunriver Lodge Betty Gray Art Gallery located on the second floor of Sunriver Resort’s main lodge. You will find works from local artists in a myriad of media from inspiring photography and sculptures to richly painted oils, pastels and abstracts.
For those performing arts buffs, the theatre troupe Sunriver Stars has been providing the community with hilarious and inspiring productions multiple times a year at Sunriver Homeowner’s Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC).
In addition to two free concert series, TurfTunes on Sunday evenings in August, and Alfresco Fridays in September, Sunriver hosts events all year around that any art and music lover will appreciate.
