Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team with enthusiasm and expertise. This pivotal role combines hands-on food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Italian food and will be experienced making dough and stretching and preparing pizzas by hand, will have strong supervisory skills, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards in food preparation and presentation
• Lead by example on the line, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement
• Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures across all kitchen activities
• Collaborate with management and ownership on in-house catering, private parties & special functions with attention to detail and timely execution
• Scheduling, staffing levels, and performance evaluations to maintain operational excellence

Experience

• Extensive experience hand -stretching and preparing pizzas and pastas in a high-volume environment
• Prior experience in restaurant management roles that involve shift management, menu planning, and food service oversight
• Proven supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Familiarity with inventory management and cost control practices in the food industry
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
