Are you accepting a phony or the real deal? How to recognize counterfeit money.

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first 2022 Coffee Klatch from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4. The free meeting will be virtual.

Our guest speakers will discuss “Is it counterfeit or authentic?”

Businesses in South Deschutes County have reported an influx of counterfeit money.

Sunriver Police Chief Cory Darling and First Interstate Bank Assistant Vice President and Bank Manager Aaron Schofield will share how business owners and employees can tell if it’s counterfeit money or authentic along with steps on what to do if they received counterfeit money for the payment of goods and services.

There will be time to share news about your business. Email exec@sunriverchamber.com to register by Thursday, Feb. 3 at noon.
