High Desert Project: Spring Series

Explore the Legacies of the 250th in the American West

 March 10 & March 17

High Desert Project invites you to its spring series, Legacies of the 250th in the West, with four unique events that explore how we define public lands to patriotism and the American Dream. Through conversation and storytelling, participants will examine how the history and landscapes of this place have contributed to what it means to be an American.

The series begins on Tuesday, March 10, and participants must attend all four events. Space is limited for this unique community dialogue opportunity. Apply by Feb. 15!

The events are held March 10, March 17, April 1 and April 7 (various times)

No cost to attend; registration required.

Soil Alive!

Now to March 29, 2026

From dry and sandy to slimy and wet, many types of soil exist in the High Desert. But all healthy soils have one important thing in common: they form the foundation of the West’s ecosystems. This family friendly exhibit takes visitors on a subterranean journey, with hands-on features and digital interactives. Soil Alive! will excite visitors to explore the universe below our feet.
