Chamber of Commerce

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to promote and enhance the economic vitality of the Sunriver community.

A nonprofit organization owned and operated by its members, the chamber is dedicated to ensuring local businesses are well-positioned to thrive in today’s economy.

The chamber is the voice and central hub of the Sunriver community, providing information, resources and advocacy to the people living, working and playing in the Sunriver area.

Members

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce supports the development, growth and success of its members by:

Providing high-value products, services and advertising opportunities,
Inviting members to use its business center as another location to conduct business,
Advising startup and emerging businesses by offering business education classes, referral services, marketing resources and professional advice and consultation,
Promoting businesses through marketing, social media and advertising opportunities, business-to-business networking, tourist and resident referrals, sponsorship exposure, workforce development, up-to-date activities and events calendars, and
Demonstrating its commitment and support to businesses and community members.

Community

Sunriver is a beautiful resort community, located 15 miles south of Bend, along the east side of the Deschutes River and 18 miles (20-30 minutes) from Mt. Bachelor. This 3,300-acre resort development with 4,200 private homes, townhomes and condos has 5 miles of beautiful Deschutes River frontage.

Residents

Sunriver is a place where everyone is welcomed. There are more than 1,500 people who call Sunriver home, everyone from retirees to young families. They all come for the lifestyle and opportunity to live in a somewhat rural setting, but with all the advantages of an urban setting. Residents can find what they need from groceries to veterinary care in the Sunriver area. Bend is only 15 miles north, if they need something they can’t find. Residents have plenty of choices for how to get involved from volunteering to joining one of the more than 35 local organizations.

Residents enjoy being able to walk out their door to go on a bike ride on the 34 miles of bike/walking paths or go cross country skiing in the winter. Sunriver is a wonderful and relaxing place to call home.

The Chamber strives to unite local residents by organizing and promoting local social events and activities. It acts as an education and community center for local residents and disseminates and distributes local information and news to the community. Members’ marketing material and services are proudly displayed at the Chamber’s business center and are promoted to residents.

Visitors

Begin your visit to Sunriver by stopping by the Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce to pick up a Sunriver Magazine. The magazine is a great resource for learning Sunriver’s history, where to go and what to do. Sunriver welcomes visitors from around the world.

Sunriver is where adventures begin, whether it’s playing at Fort Rock Park, golfing, fishing or taking a bike ride. It’s a place

to just relax in the 300 days of sunshine by reading a book, going to the pool or enjoying time with friends and family. It’s a place to learn about nature, science and history at the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory, High Desert Museum or Lava Lands.

We are known to say two things – “There’s something incredibly remarkable about Sunriver” and “Sharing the Sunriver way.”

The first saying is reflected in Sunriver’s natural beauty, the towering Ponderosa pines, the majestic views of Mt. Bachelor, Broken Top and the Three Sisters, and the breathtaking beauty of the night sky.

Sharing the Sunriver Way reflects our promise to be good neighbors to one another and to our natural environment. It’s about treating one another with respect and kindness. It’s understanding we are here to have a memorable experience. The last year has proven it’s even more important to be courteous to one another so we can keep each other safe.

Sharing the Sunriver Way is about understanding this place is a gift from past generations to future generations. It’s legacy continues to be a welcoming place for all to enjoy doing whatever it is they enjoy doing.
