Sunriver Saturday Market’s Mission
The Sunriver Saturday Market has established itself as a boutique market, focused on bringing in a variety of locally made, grown and raised products to be sold once a month at SHARC. Our mission is to connect local growers, makers and artisans with people who value items made, grown or raised locally.
The market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the last Saturday of the month from May through September at SHARC.
The Impact You’ll Make
As the Market Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a vibrant, well-organized, and welcoming market experience. You’ll ensure that every vendor feels supported, every shopper feels inspired, and every market day runs like clockwork. Your leadership will help local farmers and artisans succeed while strengthening the bonds of our community.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the monthly market, from greeting vendors and showing them their space to being the last to leave and making sure the site is clean.
- Recruit, onboard, and support a diverse mix of farmers, food producers, and artisans.
- Manage vendor applications, contracts, and compliance with market rules and local regulations.
- Create engaging promotional campaigns—both online and in-person—to attract shoppers and highlight vendors.
- Organize special events, live music, and seasonal activities to enhance market experience.
- Track and report on market performance, including attendance, vendor sales, and community impact.
- Collaborate with the executive director to ensure the market’s success and to plan the holiday market in November.
Duties include:
- Experience in event management, community organizing, or market coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you’re as comfortable chatting with a farmer as you are posting on social media.
- A passion for local food systems, sustainability, and community engagement.
- Basic budgeting and administrative skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions during market season.
- Ability to lift folding tables and chairs, sandwich boards, tent and boxes up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to use Canva, Excel and Word as well as social media.
